Central Kentucky News Journal, on-line obits: Thursday, January 11, 2007 James Garnett Neagle, 92, of Hodgenville, Ky., died on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky. Son of the late Oda and Nora Houk Neagle, he was a member of Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church in Hodgenville, was a former civil service employee at Fort Knox, Ky., a former guard at LaGrange Reformatory and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Becky Morgan of Hodgenville; two sons, Roger Neagle and Billy Neagle, both of Elizabethtown; two step-daughters, Barbara Wilcoxson of Hodgenville and Shirley Hord of Campbellsville; a step-son, David Berry of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Rachel Hazle of Green County, Ky., and Arlene Miller of Edmonton, Ky.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby J. Neagle; and a sister, Estell Tucker. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. The Rev. Tom Downey will officiate. Burial will be in Neagle Cemetery in Green County.
