Hi there, trying to find out info on Thomas Thornhill Neagle, born County Cork around 1828, may have travelled via USA to New Zealand. His wife Elizabeth Ann Jackson may have been American but they were married in New Zealand in 1862. His parents may be been a Thomas and Elizabeth also.
Any information would be appreciated! Regards, Tracey

Hi Tracey
I am not related to this family but I am researching the 1912 Waihi Miners Strike and there was a Thomas Neagle involved - possibly the son of the above. I am trying to find out more about him...and hoping to trace his descendants.
Thomas Thornhill Neagle did die in New Zealand. This is a probate entry at NZ Arhives Archway http://www.archway.archives.govt.nz/
NEAGLE, Thomas Thornhill

This is probably his death entry at https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/search/
1884/2411 Neagle Thomas 56Y
This is an excellent website for looking for people and where they lived etc

I'd be interested to hear more about the Thomas Neagle in Waihi. I suspect he will be Thomas William, my greatgrand father. Thomas Thornill is my greatgreatgrand father. We are trying to research the Irish side.

Milton Clive Neagle b.Feb 1905? If it's the same one, his sister Alvira Thora Anne Neagle was my Grandmother. You should contact my brother, as he is the one researching. He has compiled a book on Jackson, Neagle, Ashby & Nicol, my mothers side

Hi there, I would really appreciate the contact details for your brother, my direct email is worldtiles@aapt.net.au, I am very interested in the book he has written. Your mother and mine must be cousins then. I only have a Raewyn as a daughter of Alvira, I understand there is another daughter and two sons? Would be great to hear from you, regards, Tracey

Hi Robyn, I have spoken to my mother and aunt (Thomas Neagle's granddaughters) and my aunt cannot recall any mention of him being involved in mining. I am not sure if my Thomas William Neagle is the same as was jailed during this strike. Did you find out any more information on him? I am sorry this is six months after your enquiry but for some reason I've totally missed your post! Kind regards, Tracey

Yes, which makes you our cousin. This is exciting. Alvira Nicol (nee Neagle) had 3 daughters and 2 sons. The youngest, Howard died in 2006 aged 54. Will email soon.
