Just looking for other Neagles. I have quite a bit on the Neagle family out of Maryland, North Caronlina, and Kentucky.

Do you have a David Neagle of Whitneyville, Me who was killed in the civil war?
|
No, I don't have anything on this David Neagle. Could you tell me more?
I checked the "Roll of Honor: Names of soldiers who died in defence of the American Union" and didn't find him listed. That doesn't mean much, however.
There are a number of David Neagles. One was a rather famous lawman in CA. Another fought for the south. He enlisted in TX in Waul's Legion, company B. Another David Neagle enlisted in 1861 in RI. He was a private in the union army: I Company 4th Infantry Regiment, RI.
I would love to know more about your David.

I live in Russellville, KY in Logan County, but I was born and reared in Green County, KY. My earliest known ancestor was James Neagle (or Neagles) who was married in Barren County in the early 1820's..his son was Green B. Neagle (or Neagles), married in Green County in the 1840's. Do you know anything about this particular branch of the Neagle family?

Descendents of James Neagle
Donald,
I have quite a bit of information on his descendents. If you would like, I'd be happy to email what I have to you. By the way, we are distant relatives. James had a younger brother, Andrew, I am a direct descendent of his.

I am a decendant of a James Neagle who resided in Waterbury, Ct. until his death in the first quarter of the 1900s. This Jameswasmarried to Helen Keily and together they had five children-the oldest of which was my mother-Joan T. Neagle Roberts. Where are you and your famly from? All that I know is that mother's family was originally from County Cork in Ireland. I do not know where the Neagle side comes from. To reply, please contact me at my website.

Thank you for the info on the origin of the Neagle name.

I am looking for any Neagle- as far as I know, all settled in CT. The furthest I can trace is my grandmother Florence Neagle married to Robert Vincent Neagle from Waterbury, CT. He also had a brother James Neagle. Any info would be great.
