My Great Grandparents were John and Josephine Nasca. If they're a Nasca from Mt. Morris it's almost a given that they're somehow related as it appears the whole Nasca Clan settled there.

Rosalia Nasca (nee: Marcelina Guigna)

My Grandmother's name was Rosalia Nasca (maiden name). She married Guiseppe Pettineo. She came over to the US in 1909. However, ship records, she had the name of Marcellina Guigna. I found my father's birth certificate, and mother's name was Marcellina Guigna. Can't figure this out. I heard that she was either adopted or went from family to family. My cousin told me she worked for some rich people as a cook at one time. My Grandfather was from Mistretta, Messina, Sicily. I guess my Grandmother was from the same area.

Anyone out there with some idea?

Would like to build a serious family tree.

If you are a:

Father's Side Mother's Side
Nasca Sloat
Molinari Kenyon
Benelli Donahue

Grandpa Anthony Nasca came to America from Italy around 1900. He had a brother and at least two sisters and lived in NJ. He had four children.

The Sloat's, Kenyon's, and Donahue's came to NY State from Europe. Kenyon's came from Ireland and lived in a town that sounds like Bracier Falls, NY. The Donahue's may have also come from Ireland. The Sloat family is a big mystery.

Molinari's and Benelli's came to NYC area from Italy. My Grandmother's dad owned a store in NY and his son worked with him.

Send me a note if you might be related or have info that would help my tree grow.

Thanks

One error: The Donahue name should be spelled Donohue. I discovered that he died in 1936. The mass card was printed in Brooklyn, NY but that could have been shipped anywhere in the NY area.

New email is donnasca@attbi.com
