Hi, this may be a new 'Myler' research. I'm looking for the
George Washington Myler family. My grandfather was George Washington Myler born in Austin, Travis Co., Tx, in @1892, his father George Washington Myler was born in either Iowa or Ohio, in 1851. The 1851 George was supposedly named after his father, a George who possibly was born @ 1822 in Indiana. This George had two wives, the first one whose name I have not located died and is believed to be the mother of the 1851 George and his brothers and sisters and those brothers may have been a Thomas, Charles and Henry, as well as several sisters whose names I do not know. The second wife of the 1822 George is believed to be the sister of the Henry Ford. The 1851 George ran away from home at the age of 14 and ended up in Texas where he met and married Martha Ann Grizzard in 1877; their childen were all born in Texas and supposedly were named after the brothers and sisters in the 1822 George family, i.e, Thomas Roe, Blanche Henry, Charlie Myrtle, Mable Grace, Annie Lauriee, my grandfather George Washington, and Sylvia. These 'Myler's' referred to themselves as "Black Dutch," saying their original family came from Holland. Thus far, I have the data from Texas and also found this family in the 1900 Oklahoma Census, Roger Mills County, where they may have procured public lands during the 1900 Public Land Act.
With all of that, I am trying to locate the Iowa/Ohio data on the 1851 George and his family or the 1822 George. Can anyone help?
