Jinny. I feel strongly they are father and son. Look at all the Miller activity in Indiana where Sylvester was born as well as his sister (married Harris there). Also, trying to account for his kids based on numbers in census. Did you happen to notice in one of the early Kentucky census reports that John Miler was living next to some Emersons? A clue or a coincidence? The screwy thing about that Cumberland KY area is that the boundary line was in constant dispute. The line changed without people moving which could explain why a couple of his kids say they were born in KY and others in TN. Have you ever checked out those KY Emersons?
