I have now found that Jacob F Myers was also Joseph F Myers who lived in Cherokee Nation land near Fort Smith Arkansas from 1883 to 1886 and accidently shot 13 year old Edna his sister-in-law. Her last name might of been Harris or McCluney. This case is found in Ft Smith Criminal records and Joseph was released and cleard of the killing. Am looking for where she was buried and a funeral home and newspaper clipping of the obit and the shooting. All help will be greatful.
