Okay, here is my view point. in 1885 William M Myers was born in what he called Shawnee Oklahoma. That was where is listed from prison records in Boise Idaho 1922..... Then George Sidney Myers always told family he was born in a town called Cherokee and he said Texas in Nov 7, 1886. I have called and researched the Oklahoma town of Cherokee in Alfafa County with no luck. Now a thin possibility would be he was confused and meant Shawnee and that he was part Cherokee, but in either event according to the tribe head office America needed to be in the ft Smith area to sign up and she told me many did not sign up for the rolls.

Then what about Nanny Harris her sister, she does not show on any indian roll either yet. Might America L be a Harris?
