I am a descendant of James Hardy Myatt and have some information and can possibly get more on dates. James Hardy was raised by his mother Elizabeth Bullion who remarried a Rev. Brown after Wiley S. Died in the Civil War. I haven't gotten anything back but just order to see if the Wiley S. Myatt listed in the 12th Missouri Conferate Infantry is mine. Wiley Myatt was inducted as a private and discharged as a LT. The family story from Aunt Claudia who was James Hardy's daughter is that Wiley was killed in or at the end of the war. He never came home. Elizabeth remarried a Rev. Brown and is supposed to be buried somewhere around Guy, Arkansas. I have just gotten some of this information from a Pat Neel in Marshall whose husband's grandmother was a daughter of James Hardy, Naomi Myatt Rainbolt.

I have to check with some of that information. One of the girls that married a Rainbolt was actually raised by Manie when one of the Myatt girls died a young woman. Manie took in her neice or nephew and raised the child as her own. But any way I look forward to talking with you all about this. Sincerely Tracie Tudor Gross Fort Worth Texas

I'm the granddaughter of Alpha Myatt, Claudia's sister. Alpha lived in Gilbert, Arkansas and married Jesse White Moore. This is the closest I've come to finding James Hardy Myatt's father. I had heard that his father "might" be Wiley Myatt but have never seen documentation.

I am the granddaughter of Alpha Gemima Myatt, sister of Mamie Ferguson. My information regarding James Hardy Myatt is that his mother was Elizabeth Bullion Myatt who came to Lonoke County, Arkansas with her sister and husband, a Mr. Bullock. Elizabeth had 4 children, James Hardy, Tommy who died at age 22, Paralee and Alpha. Grandmother Myatt Brown is buried at Guy, Arkansas between Edgemont and Narrows off of the crossroads. Claude Myatt is also buried there. This information came from my aunt, Loucille Moore Baker, daughter of Alpha Myatt Moore who was the daughter of James Hardy Myatt.
