Hmmm I am not sure if Katie Murphy returned back, but I know the children did. I assume she would have returned to the area where she was from which is around Gurrane, Kerry (Killarney/Castlemine/Firies area).

I know my aunt and cousin went over about 15 years or so ago and met one of the children, who would have been in his 80's. I have seen the photo and he has the same look as my grandfather did! Quite interesting really. I don't know how they they knew where to go and see him actually, although my father corresponded with one of the nun's for a number of years until her death a few years ago. I should see if he kept any of the letters!
