Please help me sort out the parents of Rachel Ballard (b. 1764 in VA - m. Gabriel Mullins, d. 1849 Pendleton Co., KY). One of her parents is listed as Frances Ballard, died 1790 in VA.

The pedigree of Frances in Virginia: John Ballard m. Eliz. Bland, son Thomas. Thomas m. Susannah Hesson, daughter (?) Frances. Their daughter Rachel Ballard m. Gabriel Mullins, moved to KY.

Some trees list Rachel's parents as both named Frances Ballard, one: b.1737. The other: b. 1745. Some trees have one parent listed and not the other. One tree even suggested a spouse Waddy Slaughter, (which doesn't help with gender either!)

So I believe this Frances was female but who did she marry to beget Rachel?
