Hi everybody

Sorry for cross posting but I am trying to figure out if these 2 families are connected. NB at the end of 1600's (962-1793) Alsace was also a German territory.

Does anyone has any ideas why the 2 village names are so similar - mere coincidence ?
They are about 70 miles apart

Nicholaus Muller born in Ottweiler (Germany) on 2-14-1703 à
and
Johann Nicolaus Muller of Ottwiller (Alsace) (b. about 1642-1652)
