My grt-grandparents were Christof MUNCH (u with umlaut,) b. ? - d. 1902, Poland, and Juliana SCHROEDER, b. 1843/53 - d. 1906/09. They had 6 known children, August (mar. Henriette SERATSKI), Wilhemine (mar. Reinhold KNISPEL), Henriette (mar. Ludwig PETRICK), Emilie (mar. Paul SEIDEL), Emil (mar. Elsie STEIF), Reinhold (mar. Marie FREIBURGER). There may also have been another sibling, Christof.

The family was living in Kolo, Poland in 1888 when my grandfather, Emil MUENCH, was born. Sometime in or before 1906, Emil moved to Berlin, Germany. He then made his way to Cook County, IL, USA and married my grandmother in 1910. I believe all the children, except August, made their way to Cook County, IL and settled there. Some of August's descendants also settled there.
