I am looking for information on my ggg grandfather Andres Munoz who was married to Brigida G. (Garcia maybe?) He was born in 1812 in Mexico (I think in San Miguel De Las Cuevas). On the 1880 census they have him as 68 and Brigida as 30. Their 1st son Aniceto (my gg grandfather) was 20. That would make Brigida 10 at his birth! I'm thinking that there was a previous Mrs. Munoz, LOL! Or who knows, they had kids a lot earlier back then. So it was Andres/Brigida-Aniceto/Nieves-Napoleon/Brigida (yes, a 2nd one!) and Napoleon/Aminda my parents. If anyone has any information on Andres' parents and where they came from I would appreciate it so much! Thanks!

Dear Andres. My ggfather was Bartolo Munoz, I don't know when he arrived but it is said he was French. He married a half Indian half Spanish woman named Petronila Hernandez. They lived in Gunajuto. His daughter, my grandmother, Maria Munoz her sister Susana Munoz and I think there were two sons, one of them was Canuto. My grandmother, came to the southern California area and landed in Ventura and Santa Barbara/ Hope this helps you or someone sees it on your thread.

Thanks for your reply. Perhaps this will help further down the line. I did find out that Andres was married to Guadalupe Flores first. All of his children were with her. She is the daughter of Segundo Flores and Asencion Gutierrez from the Flores' line of my tree. Small world. LOL! Please let me know if you find anything else out that might help. Thanks again!

Thanks, I am relieved about the YOUNG bride to be married at such a youn age. Yes, I will keep you in mind as I hope you keep me in mind. I have heard many stories about Bartolo. Not a nice guy. My grandmother, said to us, many times that he never spoke to the girls. only to the boys, and that they had a large milpa and he and the boys would go away on their horses for days at a time. He also was very mean to Petronila. I don't know why I want to KNOW I just want to know who else I am connected to. Alvina

I love all those old stories. I try to write them down when my mom tells me things. They are priceless even if they are not nice ones like about Bartolo. They are a part of our history.
