Born 1839 or 1855 from England (Scottish) possible from England,came to Canada as he could have been in British Army ( William the Drummer??).Search this name as he is the Head of the house that has Wilford Mowat(my grandfather's name) and others as our Mowat family.
I found that William Henry (the Drummer) Mowat was born in Edinburgh Scotland abt 1792 or 1800.He had a son born in 1833 or abt 1839.called William Henry(the Hen)Mowat,Who had a son Wilfred Wood Mowat,my grandfather.My dad was Donald Mowat
