I am looking for any background on the Mott family arriving in Nova Scotia.I have a record confirming a John Mott marrying a Deborah Webb in Halifax on May 9th, 1789. I think his father was William. Since Halifax was founded in 1749 I assume he emigrated from another location. Anyone have a link?
