My father's name was Phillip Edward Walker (22 Dec 1933- 4 Jan 1971)... or so I thought. I was concerned because I could not find his birth certificate but I went full throttle to research the Walkers. Went back 18 generation on a well sourced tree. Been researching the Walkers seriously for 3 years.

Well I should have been more diligent closer to home. I finally ordered my father's SSA application and was floored to find out he was born Phillip Mortz. His father was listed as Russel Mortz.

My grandmother was Frances Lucile Everman (1914-1981) she was born in Kentucky but raised in Indiana. She married Edmund Eugene Walker in 1945 after living with him for a time.

I know nothing at all about Russell or this family. I am just starting to research.If you know anything at all about this man who would be my grandfather, please contact Debbra Walker at dancingwghosts@gmail
