I have a 1808 map of Guilford C. N.C. map drawn by C.M. Miller, the notation of J.W. Moorefield is made just above Guilford College on the map, My assumption is this is where such was living at time. My map copy is what appears to be a reproduction of the original. I am a descendant of >>A<< J.W. Moorefield BUT haven't determined if the one on this map is my connection although my ancestors was in this area of North Carolina in the 1800s
