Searching for information on my maternal grandfather, CHAS. E. MOORE, he died Feb 06, 1918 in Llano Co. TX. He said he was born on Dec. 18, 1860 in KY and ran away from home at a very early age because he could not get along with a step-parent. He never returned or as far as is known never had any other contact with his family.

What is known, he arrived in TX in just before the turn of the century with a young motherless daughter, LILLIAN J. MOORE, b. 03/12/1893 in MO. He married a woman from around San Saba Co, TX who died shortly after their marriage. Then on April 30, 1903 in Llano Co. TX, he married LELA ALICE WILLBERN, my maternal grandmother.

His first child, Lillian said her birth mother's name was BLANCHE NELSON and her first step-mother was a LAWRENCE (from San Saba Co. TX) Lillian married CHARLES EUGENE DEAN. She lived to be 107 years old dying in Llano Co, TX on 01/31/2000. Lillian told her half siblings that their father had once killed a man.

He was absent from home most of the time while Lela raised their nine children in poverty. Returning for short periods of time, leaving "in search of work" with another baby on the way. He was a paper hanger. He died of pnuemonia.

That is all we know of him. If someone has a missing family member that disappeared at an early age. Please contact me.

Thanks
