I think that is my Great grandfather (?) My granddad was CT Moonen. Married Katherine Eagan they had 2 sons Charles Bernard and my Dad John Patrick.

My dad Henricus Petrus Moonen born in Haarlem The Netherlands, 1928, immigrated to Australia in 1954. His father was Peter Jacobus Moonen, one of 11 children I think.

About the 2 Moonens from 1870 on further examination
they where from my nabourhood in the old country in
Holland maybe family?? I ame proud that they fought in the civil war on the yankee side,
This shows you again America is made up from every
country in the world. for the last 300 years.

Roaming the internet I found the moonen's site.
I wonder where this family originated from .I came from holland Limburg in 1955 to U.S.
trying to find out is this a German of English or Dutch name
there are many in Shoutern Holland.

Moonen Reunion

Its been 10 years since our last reunion so we are definately due for another. This year it is in July and I thought i'd post a message to let everyone know I will be updating Marie's family history book if anyone needs any current info. Also I have a ton of history here if anyone needs some of thier own blanks filled in. Feel free to email me anytime at jewell21@telusplanet.net I am also looking for any pictures of grave sites for moonens that had immigrated to Carver Co. and anyone related to them (us). They dont have to be perfect just something to add to the book. Thanks to everyone who responds. :o)
