Hi again -ystephen-,
I am so very glad to read you are in the process of having a 67 marker MOODY test done. Do let us know what the outcome is,...the HaploType which they will give you.
Your line will be of great interest to many, myself included as I have wondered for a long time if we link to any of the Augusta Co., VA MOODY's going back to James and Robert MOODY who owned lots of lands there, who came there from PA. They were intermarried with the WILSON's and others as I'm sure you know.
Also later an Andrew MOODY and his nephew of the same name came there from Ireland whom I have suspected also were related to the James and Robert MOODY line and was probably the reason they came specifically to Augusta Co.
That is a most beautiful area of VA and apparently was settled by a lot of the Scotch-Irish people in that time.
I have posted a lot of info about them and their intermarriages etc. from documented info on the Moody board at GenForum too.
Good Luck to you in your research and do let us know what your HaploType is and of course I will be keeping my fingers crossed that your line matches to us (the I1a-Norse line now called 'I1d' due to our L22 SNP results).
I hope I am replying to the right message, this thread doesn't separate out the postings so I get confused as to whom I am responding sometimes. Pardon me if I have this wrong.
Take care.
