My grandmother Giuseppa Monti emigrated from San Giuseppe Jato , Palermo, Sicily in 1907 with her mother Anna Licata, and her sisters and a brother. Her father Salvatore Monti emigrated around in 1903. The family came to Philadelphia to S Seventh St as so many other Italian immigrants did. They also lived on Christian St and Warnock St before they moved to NJ. My grandmother married my grandfather, Ignazio Dragotto, who emigrated to the US in 1907 from Belmonte Mezzagno, Palermo, Sicily, in 1912. My grandmother's sisters were Carmelo, Teresa, and Maria--Jennie the youngest was born in America. Her brother's name was Calogero. I would appreciate any information on surviving family members in the Philadelphia area as well as any connections with the two towns in Sicily.
