Mario Monti is my great great grandfather. From what my grandparents have told me about him and Annie Butler, I know they had only 4 children, not 9. They are Adeline, Ann, Emmanuel and Mario Joseph, who is my great grandfather. (Three of their four children survived to adulthood. Emmanuel died in childhood in the late 1800s.) I have never heard of an Elvina Monti or any other children in that generation of my family. My family is descended from Mario Joseph Monti and Sophie Ernst, through their daughter, Caroline.
