He was born in 1845 in Washington County VA to Martha Ramey and ???? Montgomery. I'm guessing his father was Isaac but I cannot find any record of him after the 1840 census. Martha was alone with brothers William A, Robert and Bird Trigg in the 1850 census and later remarried and moved them all to Kentucky.

He fought for the Union in the Civil War in K company of the 40th Regiment Volunteer Infantry. He had a brief marriage to Carrie Wilcox in Greenup County KY before he married Mary Catherine Jones. They raised two boys and lived out their lives across the river in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Is this ringing any bells for anyone? I would love to identify his father and the parents of Martha, also.
