Looking for William Henry Montgomery, born in Eastern Ontario, possibly Pembroke, Petawawa or Burritt's Rapids, around 1850. In the late 1800s he owned a farm in Alice, Ontario then sold his farm to prospect for silver in Cobalt, Ont. He married Jane Ferguson (no date or place) and they lived in Haileybury, Ontario where William was a senior partner of the family hardware business, Montgomery & Ferguson. He died Dec. 16, 1913 in Haileybury. Jane, born Nov. 14, 1862 (birth place unknown), died October 23, 1930 in Haileybury. They had one adopted daughter, possibly Cora or Olea.
