I would like to know who was the first person recorded with the last name Montalvo that would solve many of our questions. In Puerto Rico most of my family resides in Cabo Rojo and there are a lot of ppl last name Montalvo but my father insist that we are not related. I believe those who share the last name share a link and must by some extention be related. My mother and father were both born in Puerto Rico so I can only assume they are just that Puerto Rican. I guess I would have to learn the full history of Puerto rico to find out more. Anyone have any information on this last name It would be helpful. Thank you to all of my beloved Montalvos. :)
