I believe we have the same Moses Modlin, many went by their middle names way back and the Moses I am researching is Moses M. Modlin, which might explain the "mark" name used. I need a death date for him. While he is no blood relation to me specifically, he is the father of my Great Aunt. Her name on the census records is Carrie C. Modlin, though her real birth first name is Carrin. (Karen?) She was born out of wedlock on Jan 25, 1897. Moses M. Modlin, a caucasion male, married my great grandmother, Jessie Myers on April 14, 1899.
