I had an uncle named Bill (Willliam) Mocabee - any relation to him or to Fannie Mocabee - Bonnie Mocabee and or Roy Mocabee.

Fannie & Roy lived in Morehouse Missouri and then came to Los Angeles and had 2 children - Bonnie & William - any relation to them? Let me know !

Natalie Darl Boyd, of Phoenix, AZ, died April 8, 2005. She was born on July 22, 1925, in Tulsa, Okla., and as a young girl moved to Sunnyslope with her parents, David and Edythe Mocabee.

Natalie lived most of her life in Phoenix, where she worked as a seamstress and housekeeper before her retirement.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Harris; sons David (Isabella) Rice and Dewayne (Terry) Rice; and daughters Marjorie Rice and Cheri (Chris) Wolf. She also is survived by her grandsons David (Kimber) Rice, Chris (Tami) Rice and James Rice; granddaughters Jennifer (Chris) Tassin and Natalie Garver; and eight great-grandchildren.

Published in The Arizona Republic on 4/20/2005.

Has anyone come across this woman in Carter Co, KY? The will of James Alexander Henderson, 1861 lists her and her children William David & Martha Ann to receive a portion of his land. The will transcription has her last name as Mockahew which I think is an error in deciphering the original handwriting. I can find no Mockahew in the census.

if you will recheck your census on Lydia, she was not blind however Jane Henderson was blind. Thats why Lydia was living with them, to take care of Jane. For so Mr. Henderson willed her the land.

Orville and Florence Moccabee are my grandparents. I have fairly complete records from my grandmother Florence in her own handwriting. And my great and great-Great grandparents are buried about 8 miles from my current home here in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.
Orville and Florence's last surviving child is Florence Moccabee/Dains. And she currently resides in Toledo, Ohio.

Mrs. Jean Caudill Hall of Morehead ... [died 15 Jul 1965]. Mrs. Hall, 85, was born March 20, 1884 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Douglas and Caroline Nickell Mocabee. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hall first married James Caudill, who preceded her in death. She later married Noah Hall of Morehead, who survives. She also leaves a son, Fred Caudill of Morehead, a daughter, Mrs. Frances Thorsby, Royal Oak, Mich., and four grandchildren.

Rev. Ted Greene conducted funeral services yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at the Free Will Baptist Church. Burial was in Brown Cemetery.

There was an other son named Lawrence. It is reported that the younger children were left in an orphanage after the divorce. It has been said that when Moses went to the orphanage to pick up the children he wouldn't take Lawrence because he said he didn't belong to him. It also has been said Moses did not recognize him. No one seems to know where Lulu or Lulie is buried or what happened to Lawrence. It would be great to find out. I am a nephew of Moses F. Worstell.

My memory may be failing me here but if I remember correctly, one census shows David married to one of the women and ten years later, the next census shows the other.

Orville was my uncle on my father's side. His name was Harold, He was the baby of his family. I remember living near Uncle Orville and Aunt Florence in Columbus when I was a little girl in Columbus. Their were two sisters and 5 or 6 boys.Orville born in 1891, Iones born in 1893, Gazaway born in 1895, Mary born in 1897 Merl am not sure of his birth, I think he had a twin. He lived in Cleveland, Ohio and my father Harold who was a twin also the twin name was Harry, born in 1908. We lived in Plain City,Ohio, I had one brother who died in1999. Have done search on Grandpa and Grandma Moccabee. Would like to compare notes.
