I am a great granddaughter of the late Gaylord Mocabee, (deceased 1989), brother to Cecil, Jack?, and 1 other (that I can think of). I have been trying to track down any info I can get regarding the Mocabee history and any info you can provide I would appreciate. I have had some luck finding bits and pieces, but would love more detail! I know there are a lot of relatives out in Montana

You might search for this record, and add your contact info in a Post-Em. Also, have you gotten his death certificate and obituary? It's always a good idea to contact the funeral home in case they have more information.

Also am looking for info on the family name of Mocabee as my grandfather Roy Mocabee (married to Fannie Maria Smith).

I understand that both came fromMorehouse Missouri then moved to Los Angeles, CA some time in the 40's (?) not sure when .

My mom Betty Jean Mocabee) was born in Arkansas
My uncle Bill (WIlliam) Mocabee - my Moms brother - died around 1996.

Question I have is is whhat is the back ground of the Mocabees in Scotland?
As I can not find any info on them from there.

I understand that we are not well liked there - any ideas as to why?
