I'd like to welcome you to the Mocabee Message Board. I'm the Admin, and also run a number of boards for the other spellings of McBee, McAbee, etc. We have a wonderful McBee list, for those of you who are interested -- lots of great research going on there, in all lines and for all spellings of the surname. For more information, see

http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/m/mcbee.html

Notice that we can now list surnames that are mentioned in each post, and choose a classification. Please do this each time you post, to enable others to find you! Use Query for all questions, even about various Data types. The Data classifications are for actual Bible records, Obituaries, Pension files, etc. Also notice that you can attach pictures, scans of documents, and short GEDCOMS to your posts, too. This should really help our research!

I hope to see you all on the list,

Finding people who have changed email addresses

Valerie,
Is there anyway to get updated E-mail addresses from submitters?
I am also researching the Mocabee line, I am a descendant of Granville Allen Mocabee. I wanted to contact Larry Mocabee at mcaboy@digisys.net in regard to David Mocabee and the discrepancy of his wife Anna's maiden name, Gorman or Brinegar. I thought he might be able to answer this question because it looks like someone else asked the same question 3 years ago and he responded, but my E-mail came back user unknown.
Thank you
Terie Harris

Finding people when their email address has changed

The best thing to do is answer on the board. That way, there is always the chance that the person will come back to the board, and see your post.

One can update contact information on ALL the message boards at once. Simply log in, and click on My Profile. Update your email address, and it will be changed on ALL of the posts you made with that account. If you have more than one account, you will have to log in with each user-name and email address you have used, and update each.

You can Google for the name and old email address of the person you are seeking. Perhaps they have posted their new email address somewhere. Check with http://www.findmemail.com/ , http://www.freshaddress.com/ and more here: http://www.emailaddresses.com/email_coa.htm

Sometimes you can find the name, address and phone number for the person in question here: http://www.theultimates.com/white/

Good luck in finding your cousin, Terie.

Valorie
