My gggrandmother's maiden name was Mlej/Mlejh. She lived and died in Cabiny, Slovakia. She was married to a man named Stefan Guzak. She died during WWI. She had 6 children, 3 of whom emigrated to the USA and lived in Pennsylvania. I am looking for others with this name.

Mlej is the name on my grangfather's baptism record. This came from Presov. His village was Radvan which is located in the Carpathian Mountians in Eastern Slovakia. He came to the US as an orphan in the early 1900's and settled in Pittsburg with relatives.

Tom---thanks for your reply..It is so good to finally find someone with that name. It is so unusual. So your grandfather settled in the Pittsburgh area? My great grandmother settled in Butler,PA. Some of her Mlej cousins were also in PA nearby. I just received back a reply from a Slovakian civil office that said they could not find any Mlej records in the village I thought they were from. Since it is such an unusual name, I bet we are related somehow. If you like, please email me at MicheleS100@aol.com so we can talk further...:)
