Looking for any Minnesota Mlaker's. The family started in the early 1900s. Came from Austria.

Yes I do know your dad. I was at your house once too, many years ago. Are you still doing the family tree?

Well not really. When I was doing that family tree, I was doing it for a grad standard in like 7th or 8th grade. But know I am just trying to learn a little bit more on my own about my ancestors and where I came from. I think my dad said you had done or are doing a family tree a while back, so hows that looking? Do you have a lot of info?

My maiden name is Mlaker. My grandfather was Edward Mlaker, his father was Anthony Mlaker born in Yugoslavia. I would love to find out if we are related somewhere along the lines. My greatgrandfather settled in Utah and my family has been here ever since. My dad told me we have relatives in MN but I have never looked into it before.

I would like to know too. My greatgrandfather Joseph Mlaker came here (Minnesota) in 1905 from Austria, according to his Declaration of Intention papers. There was a spelling change to the last name, sometime in the 1940's, so the rumor goes. It was spelled Mlakar, now its Mlaker. I dont know if this helps.

My wife's grandmother was Cathrine Mlakar Speredon. Her Father was Frank Mlakar and Mother Mary Capuder Mlakar. They were either from Yugoslavia or Austria orinally, but settled in Winter Quarters Utah. This location was a small mining town in Carbon County, now underneath what is known as Schofield Reservoir. Frank came through Ellis Island where there are many Mlakars. You have most likely already discovered this. I would be interested to know if you are related to Frank Mlakar.

I recently found that I am a descendant of the Mlakar family. Looking for info on your Catherine's siblings. Did she have a sister Mary or Olga? Brothers Frank, John, Alvin/Albert and Rudolph? Any info will be helpful.
