Mrs. Tawanda Denise Mixon Kennedy, 42, passed away at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, Ohio on July 5, 2009.

“T-Wee,” as she was affectionately called, having earned the nickname because she was the shortest of her siblings, was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 19, 1966, a daughter of Fred and Annie Mixon Davis. She was a 1984 graduate of East High School and was a member of the “Juicy Fruit” Club.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents; her children, Trey Kennedy of Columbia, Mo. and Mia, Alexandria and Taylor Kennedy, all of Youngstown; her brother, Anthony Mixon of Bradford, Pa.; her sisters, Mary Doakes of El Paso, Texas and Michelle Mixon of Youngstown; and her two grandchildren.


Besides her husband, Leonard Kennedy III, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, J D and Mary Mixon; and a nephew, Darius Mixon.

Services will be on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Howard-Rhoden Memorial Home, where friends may call one hours prior to the services.
