Vasiliy G. Miroshnichenko, age 85,
died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. Residence Millcreek Twp. He was born in the Ukraine on April 25, 1925, son of the late Gregory and Nastya Miroshnichenko. Vasiliy had lived in the Erie area since immigrating from the Ukraine in 1999. He was employed as a supervisor in the coal mining industry in the Ukraine and served in the Soviet Union Army during WWII. Preceded in death by his wife, Raisa Miroshnichenko in 2008; and two sisters. Survived by one daughter, Maria Burykin (Alex) of Erie; four sons, Valentin Miroshnichenko (Raisa) of the Ukraine, Viktor Miroshnichenko (Raisa) of Erie, Ivan Miroshnichenko (Tatyana) of Florida and Yuriy Miroshnichenko (Galina) of Erie; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister Raisa Miroshnichenko of Ukraine; two nieces and two nephews.
