Solomie was my grandmother but could not tell you anything about her family. She died in 1968 when I was in high school. However I have got in contact recently with one of the Dabbs family if that would help. Her great grandfather was my grandmother's brother.

Millie - I have information on the family that the photo belongs to. It is not my immediate family. Charles Aaron Minica was my wife's Great Great Uncle.He was born 7/13/1880 in Bastrop Co. His wife was Solonia Dabbs(first name may be wrong)born about 1896. They had four sons - Albert Robert (5/12/1912), Alfred Nelson (1/19/1918),Clarence M.(5/6/1925), and Kenneth Earl (6/11/31). Albert Robert married Fannie Lee Bellino and they had three children - Nancy Arlene, Fred Charles, and Ezekial Joshua. Perhaps some of these names sound familiar? We don't know these people personally nor where they presently live, although telephone listings could probably be found. Nancy, Fred and Ezekial were all born in the 1940's. Hope this might help.

She was my father's (Clarence Matt Minica) mother, my grandmother. One of the sweetest, most wonderful women you could ever know. I learned a lot from her and have pretty much lived my life in the ways she showed me. Of course I was her favorite grandson, so I got all the special treatment I guess. My times with her will live with me for the rest of my life as being the most wonderful. If you need or want to know more about her, how she lived or whatever I might be able to help.

Hello, my name is Jimmie C. Minica. Albert
Minica was my uncle, brother to: my father
Clarence Matt Minica, my uncle Alfred Minica,
and my uncle Kenneth Earl Minica. Saloma
Dabbs was my grandmother and Charles was my
real grandfather whom I never knew. W.P.
Searle was my step-grandfather married to
Saloma. They both died in 1968. I never
heard very much about the marriage with
Charles because he was gone before I was born
and all I knew was W.P. as a grandfather.
My father and all his brothers are gone now,
but there are still a lot of Minica's still
around as siblings. I have 3 brothers and 2
sisters myself, but there is more from the
uncles and still more first cousins from a
different line that I never met until I was
in high school. If you would like any more
information I might be able to get some from
my mother. Let me know and I would be glad
to help in any way I can.

My ancestors have a Dabbs/Fellers branch, on my maternal side. I have photos of many of them including two baby pictures of an Albert Minicia..that's all that is written on the back. My Grandmother's sister Saloma (dob. approx 1895) married a "C. Aaron Minica", so I presume that this Albert was their offspring. These came from my mothers and her mothers albums. As Grandma (Mary Nora Frances Dabbs dob.1898, Hondo TX) came from a very large family..(12 children) I am hoping that this will be familiar to someone out there. I have written down the names of her siblings and their spouses, so as to cross reference if any one does contact me. I would love to share with any long lost cousins the information I have and perhaps get this picture to the proper family, as well as the other photos I have of the other siblings families.
