RAY G. MILNER 1937-2014


Ray G. Milner, 76, of Cambridge, Ohio (Guernsey County) died Friday (Jan. 17, 2014) at The Beckett House in New Concord, Ohio.

He was born May 31, 1937, in Bloomfield, Ohio (Muskingum County) son of the late Eldridge L. Milner and Ethel Elizabeth (Lawrence) Milner.

Mr. Milner retired after 22 years as a supervisor at Central Ohio Coal. He also had worked for AEP/Ohio Power.

He was Protestant by faith.

He was a 1955 graduate of Cambridge Central High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah A. Cornell; two brothers, Robert L. Milner and Ronald E. Milner; and a sister, Jackie Mulholland.

He is survived by two sons, Donald R. Milner and Raymond W. Milner of Columbus, OH; two daughters, Denise M. Dorland of Cambridge and D'Anne K. Underwood of Cumberland, Ohio; a brother, Harold Jay Milner of Byesville, OH; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
