Hello Melanie;
My Grandfather was Harry Millie b. 5-27-1893, from London, Ontario, Canada. Although I don't presume to be of any relation at this point, Harry's father and my gr. grandfather was Henry Thomas Beale Millie b. 9-14-1862. His Canadian military papers show his birthplace to be Kilkenny, Ireland. HTB Millie fought in the 1885 Riel Rebellion of Western Canada (Saskatchewan). He is purported to have had a male child from a previous marriage, prior to marrying my gr. grandmother. There is a line of Scottish Millie's that were in Western Canada. I have been searching for Millie surnames on the net for about a year now, and Scotland and France are the big winners, with Ireland having only 1 Millie surname from the past or present. Please e-mail me at
Bigdogdad@aol.com with an estimate or exact years you speak of, and anything you will share with me about your Irish snail mails.
I started a site that you may want to visit for all Millie Surname researchers at
