My daughter in law's grandmother's maiden name was Millage, she married Tupper. We are currently trying to research her family back, so far we have Thelma Millage (her g.ma), John Clarence Millage, Kaywoodie Herman Millage, Brinton Millage, then John Millage. Thelma is still living and has provided us with the names of her parents and grandparents. Most files online call Kaywoodie by his middle name Herman. According to Thelma, Kaywoodie was half Native American but hated being so. She believes Kaywoodies mom was full Indian. I have not found any proof of this though. My daughter in law will be leaving for Elmira NY on friday to visit family and do some physical research. She plans to concentrate on researching Thelma (Millage)'s side of her family since we have so little on that half of her tree.
