Herewith is the comparison of John Milam’s “mark” on his 1764 Chesterfield County sales Deed; 1770 Indenture in Halifax County and 1789 Will in York County, SC.

I provided the 1764 Chesterfield deed and Robert Wilbanks IV had copies of the 1770 Halifax County Indenture and John Milam's Will from 1789 in York County, SC.
What do you think?

Robert Wilbanks IV thinks these marks prove that it was the same John Milam who made all three marks and therefore documents. I think they are very similar and strongly suggest that they were made by the same man, especially considering that he was at least 69 years of age and ill when he made his mark with a shakey hand on his will in 1789.

Best regards,,,
