Surnames: Tschupp, Chupp, Chubb
I believe that Anna Chubb/Chupp/Tschupp may be the sister of my Samuel Tschupp. Samuel was born in Stark County in 1822.

I'm currently trying to verify that his parents were Jacob Tschupp and a widow, Hannah Powell who were married in Stark County in 1818.

I'm looking at Anna Chupp because of a small article found in the Fort Wayne paper in 1906 - "Goshen Woman applies as daughter of a soldier under Washington - "Grandma" Mick , of Goshen, as a daughter of Jacob Chubb, soldier in the Revolutionary War under George Washington, has had a letter written to Senator Beveridge asking for his help in obtaining a pension. Rebecca Geyer wrote the letter for Mrs. Mick. It says she is 76 years old and the youngest daughter of Jacob Chubb."

The 1830 census for Jacob Chubb shows 1 female under 5 - this is the only Jacob Chubb in Stark County. Jacob Chubb was probably deceased by 1840 (I have an approximate birthdate of 1760) and Hannah Chubb shows 1 female 10-15 in the 1840 census.

Perhaps this will help you as well in your search for Anna Chubb's parents.
