I am looking for information about the Michels family, more specifically the Illinois Michels family. I have heard that we origionated from Maine, but I have no idea if there is any truth to that. My father is Max Michels, and my grandfather is Allen Michels. My father is an only son with 3 sisters, and my grandfather, as far as I know, has 3 brothers, James, Virgil, and another that I do not recall the name of. James is in a nursing home, Virgil is dead (as is my grandfather) and the other is living. I will update this later. Thank you, and I would appreciate any suggestions.
