Henry Winter, 79, Dies Sunday in Weld Hospital
Henry Winter, 79, died Sunday afternoon at Weld County General Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week. Ill two months, he was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in Zion United Church of Christ, with interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
Born December 21, 1883 in Russia, he was married there in 1903 to Elizabeth Meyer. In 1905 they came to the United States and settled in the Windsor area. Winter farmed there, also worked for the GW sugar factory, retiring in 1947.
He was a charger member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jake (Hannah) Winter of Galeton and Mrs. George (Frieda) Weglin of Sacramento, Calif.; three sons - Alex, Edward and Carl, of Windsor; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Held Yesterday for Eva Winter, 89
Mrs. Eva Elizabeth Winter, 89, died Monday at Weld County General Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in Zion United Church of Christ followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mrs. Winter was born March 8, 1879, in Russia, and was married there to Henry Winter in 1903. The couple came to the United States and lived there briefly in Oklahoma before settling in the Windsor area in 1905. They farmed until Winter's retirement in 1947. He died in 1963.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hannah Winter of Greeley and Mrs. Frieda Weglin of Denver; three sons, Alex, Edward, and Carl; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
