I am looking for relatives of Henry Messier. He came to Connecticut from Canada. He married Catherine Marie Donaldson Lally McManis (1891-1943) and is buried with her in Lakeview Cemetary in Bridgeport CT.

You might want to try under Macy as well. I found most of my infomation in NY State under the Americanized version Macy or Macey. There were a few Macey families in Port Henry (Essex Co), Ny that I am looking into. I'll keep my eyes open for a Henry Messier

I am looking for imformation on Rose Messier who was married to Ambrose Laporte. They had a least one child, Evangeline Eugenie Laporte in about 1875. Evangeline married Adelard Lussier about 1892 in the Montreal area. Any information on Rose, Ambrose or Evangeline would be appreciated

You missed a spelling for the name Messier and that is Machia. All Machia's in New England are from the Messier line. My line is from Jacques Messier brother to MichaelII go bac k to the year1649. If I can help my e-mail is cm554722@aol.com

Trying to trace the roots of Arthur Messier/married to Mary LaLiberte-. Arthur is supposed to have come to the states from Canada-some place near Three Rivers,around 1874/Mary LaLiberty around 1864. They lived in Wheelright Mass. while bringing up their children-Ora,Emma,Eva,Violette,Leonard and Frederick. Arthur died in Worcester Ma.sometime in the late 1920's. Most of my information has come from Norbert Lussier. Here is some of what I have: Adelard Lussier (July 21,1874 in St. Hugues) married Evangeline Laporte on September 19, 1892. My grandfather, William Adelard Lussier was born Oct. 27,1894. Adelard's parents were Isidore and Adrienne Delima Chapdelaine-Lariviere Lussier. Adelard's in laws were Ambroise and Rose Messier Lussier. I can't find anything on Rose or her parents. I have the Lussier line back to Jacques but my books are packed to be sent to my daughter's house and I won't have access to the rest until the middle of June. Who is your connection to this line" Are you descended from one of Adelard And Evangeline's children (they had enough)? I'm going to be moving to New York state in June and can't wait to poke around Providence where it is my understanding that Adelard and Evangeline are buried. Write back. Pat

Good morning---William Lussier was my Maternal grandfather, brother to Blacky and Gene and the others. He married my grandmother, Marie Alexandrine Hamel in 1917. They had three children, Ethel Rose who may be alive still, Loretta (Lauretta) who died in January 1924 from spinal meningitis and my mother, Violet Pauline Lussier Laffey who was born April 5, 1924 and died October 5, 1992 here in Reno. My grandfather died March 16,1972 and is buried in Norfolk, Va. If you send me your address I'll send copies of what I have so far. I have us back to Jacques and Marguerite Darmine Lussier. He was born in France in about 1627, she was born about 1626 in France. Ancestral files lists Jacques parents as Pierre Lhussier Siphorienne Tallon. Jacques Marguerite's son was also Jacques and he was born 1643 in France and died in Sorel, Quebec. He married Catherine Clerice 1653 October 12, 1671 in Boucherville, Quebec. I have Etienne's marr. 1828 8 Jan at St.-Charles, but I do not have his birth data, nor his father's ?in St.-Mathieu.
As you may know, much immigration to MA was to work in mills, papermills. My Provost that came to America went to Pittsfield, then Gilbertville, then Holyoke. Hi again cousin. Have been away from genealogy for awhile but am now back. Anything new that you have found on our tree?I have Ambroise as being born 10/30/1833.Died in Gilbertville Ma. 9/20/1914. He married Mary Gaudreau-6/07/1857 in L'Acadie Que, Canada. Mary died-7/224/1911 in S. Hadley Falls, Ma. They are both buried there in a Catholic cemetary. I have Ambroise' death certificate. On Mary Gaudreau's death cert there is the informant -Charles Messier-same address 25 Cottage Ave. Wonder if that was a son, or brother to Ambroise? Anything new you can pass on would be appreciated. Still need dates etc. on Etienne and his father Michel. ALSO---is there an Indian connection?

I was recently contacted by a female cousin whose married name is now the same as my wife's. She claims to be from my high school class, and I don't recognize the name. Such a coincidence. Have you have any experience using attachments of pictures, for example? I have tried using Yahoo and Juno, but they had limitations on attaching pictures. I wanted to use IBM scanner to send info on my aunts, uncles, cousins, but so far, to no avail. Thanks

They are both buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery Cumberland, R.I.(Valley Falls,R.I.)
He lived in Central Falls, R.I.
Relatives have been looking for grave site. I think records were lost to fire. I may be confussing this with someone else as we have been poking around a little bit. My father was looking for another grave and thinking back remembers reading a stone with Adelard but it did not register until later. He may be the only one on my side of the family that could find the grave.
Adelard would be my Greatgreat Grandfather.
My Grandfathers was Oreme and my Grandmothers name is Delia. She is still living and is almost 100 yrs. old.
