I am looking for information about about Catherina/Catherine Merten who married Theodore Franken. They lived near Koln/Cologne, Germany. They emigrated to the USA, arriving in April 1880 and settled near California MO. From there they moved to Rooks Co KS and on to McLoud OK. I have been unable to find any German church records, perhaps destroyed in WWII, what ship they sailed on and where it landed in the USA. If you know anything about the ancestors of Catherina or Theodore, please reply. I will be glad to share information. Theodore was the son of Henrich Wilhelm Franken and Veronica Klein/Kline.
