I'm looking for information on Joseph Merten, b. abt 1826, in Prussia. He married Gertrude Schmitz about 1858, probably in Marytown, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. They had three children: Catherine, twin, born 17 Dec 1858 in Marytown; Margaret, twin, born 17 Dec 1858, Marytown; and Emma or Anna, born 30 Aug 1860, also in Marytown. Joseph died 15 Aug 1863, at the age of 54, probably in Marytown, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Would like to know if anyone has Joseph's information--birth date and place, parents, siblings, death place and burial place.

After Joseph's death, Gertrude married August (Gustav) Utschig 24 May 1864, either in Marytown or Mt. Calvary, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
