You are absolutely right about that and hopefully you didn't misunderstand what I posted.
What I would like to see is the percentage of European, Native American, Asian, etc. that I have in my bloodline. I find DNA fascinating, especially since I'm former law enforcement.
Because I was not raised in the Melson home, I am missing more information than most. DNA does NOT replace genealogical research of looking at Census, Marriage, Death, Cemetary databases, but it is a tool that you can use to figure out what part of the world your family might have originated from.
Thanks for the info, though. Oh, and if you do get your DNA testing done, it is VERY important to check out who you are getting to do it. They do not all test for the same things at the same price points.
