YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2015, at the Temple Emmanuel SDA Church, 108 W. Indianola Ave., Youngstown, Ohio for Mrs. Dorothy Jean Gilmore, 77, who departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Dorothy was born Dec. 12, 1937, in Concord, Va., the daughter of Gentry and Evelyn (Bolling) Megginson.

Dorothy was employed with Packard Electric, where she retired in 1998.
She was a member of the Temple Emmanuel Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She leaves seven children, William K. (Carrie) Gilmore of Virginia Beach, Va., Sabra “Shelly” Gilmore, Yvonne (Jerald) Drummer, Pamela (Israel) Jusino, Cheryl (Rick) Boudrey, Robert Gilmore, and Semmie Gilmore, all of Youngstown; two sisters, Diana “Lynn” Whipple and Phyllis Barns of Virginia; 31 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Jasper Gilmore, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Saunders and Martha Hildreth; a daughter, Connie Cheers; and a son, Arthur Gilmore.
Visitation will be held Friday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Funeral services will follow.
