Hi, I have not checked in on my postings for several
years. My Meeks line connected with the Meason line through Isaac Meason's Brother John (Sometimes spelled Mason) Meason. He had a son Isaac Meason that married Ralph and Anne(Meeks)Cherry's daughter. As a matter of fact thanks to DNA, I have confirmed my Meeks connections that I made requests for over 10 years ago.

I AM TRYING TO TRACE THEM BACK TO VA !!!!

I am still looking for all the information I can find on Jeremiah MEEK / MEEKS and Sarah LEE. I found this information in the Allen County Public Library. Maryland Marriages 1634-1777 Jeremiah MEEK - Sarah LEE, Married Sept. 18, 1731, Saint Anne's Parish Information, from the book: Pioneer Period and Pioneer People of Fairfield County, Oh by C.M.L. I have now proven that the father of William J. MEEKS, was my GGG-GF, born on March 2, 1800, in Fairfield County, Ohio and obtain his parents names. I have determined (and am positive) that my GGG-GF is William J. MEEKS, Sr., he was born on March 2, 1800, in Fairfield County, Ohio and died on 9/8/1875 in Fulton County, Ohio. He was married to Rachel CARR, who was born on 12/17/1798 in PA and she died on 8/15/1884 in Fulton County, Ohio. They married in 1819. Their son, George MEEKS, my GG-GF, was born in PA in July of 1824. Their other children were: Sarah, who was born in York County, PA on 3/8/1827 Hannah, who was born in OH around 1830 William J. The family lived in Wayne County, Ohio for many years and then moved to Fulton County, Ohio. This is the information from Rachel CARR Meeks will. Rachel MEEKS of Clinton tp. signed Mar. 14, 1882 Pro. Sarah MEEKS was born in York, York Co., Pa Mar 8,1827. In early childhood she moved with her parents to Wayne Co., O, where she continued to reside till grown to young womanhood, when on the 9th day of Nov 1846 she was united in marriage to James SCOTT, and moved to the place where Wauseon now stands.
