from the Co[unty] West Meath [sic- one word Westmeath in 1987 atlas] in Hibernia [Ireland] [Comment: Researcher indicated West Meath = "father's place of birth." Had "Northern Ireland from United States census.] and Elizabeth Galfoil [sic] from Roscommon in Hibernia [Ireland] [CommenT: Not indicated whether "Roscommon" means the county or town.
Note: Start search in the town. Researcher indicated Roscommon = "mother's place of birth." "Patrini fuerent" ["the Godparents are"] Franciscus [Francis] Higgins and Mary Boyd.
Certificate of baptism, Church of St Rose's, 34 Cannon Street. This is to certify that Marian Farrell child of Gulielmo Farrell and Elizabeth Galfoil born in New York City, New York, on the 26th day of December 1873 was baptized on the 4th day of January 1874, according to the rite of the Roman Catholic Church by the Rev[erend] "Ed. Th." Mc Guiley, the sponsors being Franciscus Higgins and Mary Boyd, from the baptismal register of this church. Dated Monday, 22 November 2004, Rev Neil A Connolly.

-Elizabeth Farrell, female, age 47 [calculated birth= 1843; 1900 census says born May, 1841]
-William Farrell, male, age 53 [calculated birth= 1837; 1900 census says May, 1840]
-John Farrell, male, 15 [calculated birth= 1875; 1880 census calculated birth= 1876.]
-Patrick Farrell, male, age 13 [calculated birth= 1877; 1880 census calculated birth= 1878]
-MAGGIE [sic] Farrell [sic], female, age 29 [calculated birth 1861- probably daughter of PETER Farrell. This MAGGIE is not William's daughter, Marguerite Veronica Farrell who was born November, 1867 (pe 1900 census), and who married George Barnes in 1889. In the 1880 census, Maggie- a 19 year old- is listed with the family of Peter Farrell. The Peter Farrell family was the "only" Farrell family living "close" to William Farrell's family. (Checked residence numbers before and after William Farrell's family- did not search the geographic area around his family.) Also Maggie is listed last in the 1890 census- out of order age wise, suggesting she is not a child of Elizabeth and William.)

Comment: Anthony J Ke??y not one of those who performed baptisms of William Farrell's children.
