Have you looked into the Hugh McWhorter family of York Co., South Carolina? They migrated over from Ireland in 1795 and he had a son named Andrew McWhorter... with a name like Hugh Andrew... could easily be a relative. Most of Hugh McWhorter's family made it to TX, but there was one son who stayed in N.C.
